Paul Chaffin is senior vice president and general manager of Global Healthcare for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. Chaffin oversees Ecolab’s Global Healthcare business and its broad portfolio of sustainable infection prevention and contamination control solutions that are used in all departments of acute-care and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

Previously, Chaffin served as senior vice president and general manager of Healthcare – Europe, Middle East and Africa, and senior vice president and general manager of Healthcare – North America. Prior to joining the Healthcare team in 2008, Chaffin was vice president of Emerging Businesses for Ecolab’s Institutional division. He joined Ecolab in 2004 as vice president of New Markets.

Prior to Ecolab, Chaffin was vice president of Marketing for International Multifoods, where he led the integration of International Multifoods with the J.M. Smucker Company. Prior to International Multifoods, he had a variety of roles with the Pillsbury Company including Marketing, Sales and Finance.

Chaffin has also served on the board of directors for the Joint Commission’s Center for Transforming Healthcare as well as a couple of small private companies in the financial services and technology industries.

Chaffin holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Michigan. He also holds and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
