International partner of the German hospitality industry in turbulent times
Ecolab becomes new supporting member of the Hotel Directors Association (HDV) and official sponsoring partner of the German Hotel Young Talent Award (DHNP).

Like almost no other industry, the hotel and restaurant business was hit by the pandemic. The topic of hygiene was and is on everyone's lips. The hotel industry needs strong partners. This statement is more relevant than ever.

In addition to its new involvement in HDV, Ecolab is also a new funding partner of the prestigious German Hotel Young Talent Award, which is awarded once a year by the Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomiezeitung (AHGZ) and the HDV. "The high labor shortage in the HoReCa sector must be counteracted. My colleagues in the Ecolab service teams are currently training new employees of our customers all across the country. Many are new to the industry and need to be retrained: also in the field of kitchen, stewarding, housekeeping and laundry. This all happens behind the scenes of the hotel operation with our support. The fact that we are committed to the German Young Hotel Award in order to promote outstanding talents in the hotel industry is a matter close to our hearts and the right moment right now," says Brüggemann.
